UPDATE: Maybe not free any more, read reviews... Large grass/gravel parking lot just off the small road with ample shade, no camping prohibition signs, only prohibition of fires. 100m up the road there is a swimming pond/quarry lake privately owned, which has free public WiFi and a bar. Swimming place is chargeable, unsure on rate but presumably cheap as lots of locals using it on a Sunday. Near the swimming place there is a second area where people park, with outhouses (composting toilets). There is a stream that runs parallel to the road and can be accessed further up the road, however the water is currently polluted with green algae and is only clean near the source - continuing over a KM up the gravel road. No issues with locals, many drove by leaving the bar up until 10pm and then the night was quiet. minimal rubbish here however no waste facilities so be sure to pack your rubbish away. Be careful for parking underneath the large rock wall as small rocks can be heard tumbling down it’s face at night. If used, keep the place clean, especially NO TOILET/PAPER WASTE!!
