Large parking area off the main road. It’s 300m west of the main Etna car park. This free parking area has fabulous views down the south slopes of Etna to the coast. Views up the south flanks of Etna too and lava fields. 5 min walk to the cable car. If you have the energy though hike up the main track instead and visit the crater and ridges to the east of cable car station at the top. Once tourist traffic stops at sunset the road is very quiet. There are many more very large parking areas further down the road heading west too.
