The parking lot behind the Basilica of San Biagio offers a wonderful panoramic view. Please note: it's only freely accessible during the off-season, and there are access restrictions, which can be found on the municipal website. We decided to spend New Year's Eve here; we were the only vehicle parked, enjoying a breathtaking view and a glimpse of the fireworks from above and in the distance, without being surrounded by the crowds (an essential detail if you're traveling with a dog like us). The only two drawbacks are the bells ringing every hour (we still managed to sleep very well) and the road, which is very narrow and full of hairpin bends, especially the last stretch.
