As the Maroqua car park is no longer accessible, this is where you have to park to reach the Ambin refuge and its lake (among others). Very calm and shaded place, quite flat. Just the slight tremor of the torrent to lull you! Narrow access road and a bit of a track to finish. OK for vans, 4x4 cells and probably not too big CC's. 2 picnic tables. A few mosquitoes in the evening in July.
