Our Italian-German family farms 1.4 hectares of land in the picturesque Itria Valley near Ostuni, amidst centuries-old olive groves. Motorhomes over 7.5 meters in length are not permitted due to the narrow road. We ask that you call in advance to reserve a parking space. From Ostuni towards Martina Franca, after about 4 km, just after the Contrada Fumarola sign, you will find a widened road on the left with a large red house and an abandoned well. Turn there and follow the road in front of the red house. After about 1 km, turn right onto a sloping sheep path with a mailbox and a barrier that is always open. Follow this path until a right-hand bend to reach your destination. The last bend is difficult for motorhomes, but manageable with caution. The navigation system usually only takes you to this bend. Since 2013, we have been cultivating a forest garden and introducing bee colonies to promote biodiversity and support the local ecosystem. We offer guided tours of our forest garden to discover the flora and fauna that have developed over the past 15 years of our presence here. Over the years, we have planted around 150 fruit trees and shrubs (apricots, medlars, pears, apples, persimmons, cherries, figs, azaroles, pomegranates, feijoas, peaches, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, grapevines, plums, Canadian amelanchier, and strawberry trees), as well as over 1,000 aromatic plants (mainly rosemary, sage, lavender, oregano, and thyme) and legumes (Gleditsia triacanthos, Acacia saligna, Acacia dealbata, broom, and Judas tree). Particular attention has been paid to the production of pollen and nectar for bees. We also offer tarot readings and foot reflexology.
