Muotathal

A beautiful spot along a quiet road as a starting point for incredibly beautiful hikes. It's on a slight slope. We were completely alone here. A few cars passed by in the evening and morning, but that was it. The only sound you hear is the flowing river and the cowbells. A beautiful view guaranteed! Good for an overnight stay. The parking lot is just before the sign after which you're not allowed to continue with a motorhome overnight because of the cows. (It's also just before a cattle grid.) From there, you can continue during the day to Glattalp Bergbahn, but we set off from here for one of the most beautiful hikes we've ever done. Highly recommended! I don't know if the road is open in winter; I suspect not, but I couldn't find anything quickly online.
