Paid parking is available at Steinsee, and other spaces are available further up. Very quiet, all you can hear is nature. Take a ticket at the entrance to the nature reserve. Payment is in coins – euros or Swiss francs; the machine accepts both. Please note that the police regularly check all parked vehicles; therefore, please park visibly behind the windshield. New for 2025: Overnight stays are limited to one night (see last photo of the machine). Pitching tents is prohibited, even in the parking lot. Due to the unacceptable behavior of some campers, this site may be closed. It is forbidden to light fires, set up camps, relieve oneself in the open air, empty portable toilet cassettes in public restrooms, and camp. Folding chairs are permitted during the day, but must be put away in the evening and when not in use. Only vehicles equipped with a toilet and a wastewater tank are permitted. Any inappropriate behavior will be immediately punished (100 CHF). Please inform other campers who do not respect these rules.
