Free parking in Val di Sole at the foot of Cevedale, located at 1,732 meters near the Pontevecchio mountain hut. The road to get there is paved but narrow and in some sections lacks guardrails. Access is ONLY possible with small vans like the ones you see in the photo. Half of the parking area is flat, so chocks aren't necessary. It has benches and tables for lunch and a refreshing water fountain. It's a strategic point for those climbing to the Latcher refuge, but there are other beautiful trails in the area.
