We had trouble parking in Split but finally came across this roadside parking lot that worked out perfectly. Motorhomes allowed. We met the police officer who issues fines and he confirmed that we were allowed to park there. We're 6 meters long (Citroën Jumper) and fit comfortably in the spaces. It might be more complicated for larger motorhomes ⚠️.
