Access via the town of "Albano Vercellese", not "Oldenico"! Large, clean picnic area under trees in the forest, firm ground despite the rain, relatively few mosquitoes for the location and barbecuing allowed! (there are even special bins for hot ash!). Remote and very quiet in the middle of nature, only at weekends is it full here during the day (everyone was very nice and relaxed). The rangers who drove past in the morning and evening were not bothered by it, in fact they greeted everyone nicely. From the site, turn right, then keep left and in less than 5 minutes you are on foot at the river delta, which is really worth seeing. Our dogs thought it was just as great as we did. Ps: don't panic on the access road, there is a small, approx. 4 m wide but level water crossing to negotiate. Anyone who has a wading depth of slightly more than 10 cm should be able to manage it just as easily as all the other visitors!
