A large hard gravel carpark surrounded by thousand year old olive trees and the small ancient stone church to Santa Greca, on the side of a hill in farmland and oak forests and overlooking the lake. Excellent water source from two taps with hose fittings (yes you're welcome to it and can park right beside the tap to refill) and a toilet behind the church to empty in (the local council gardeners offered me the use of it). A short drive from the main road that skirts the lake, feels a million miles away. There is a short dirt road but which even after three days of constant rain was ok. Or use the sealed road from Aidamaggiori. A very sweet and peaceful night's sleep disturbed only by the tiny red light of the battery operated votive candle staring through the rain at me from the grotto.
