DRINKING WATER FOUNTAIN AT THE PICNIC AREA next to the Chiesa di San Nicola, Quirru. The church was being cleaned up while we were here for a wedding that will take place here on Saturday. We were told that the water in the well was drinking water and that it came straight down from the surrounding hills. Please do not turn off the tap completely so that it still drips slightly. The lizards living here were so happy that finally someone turned on the water again, they licked eagerly - it was nice to watch. Unfortunately we were tormented by mosquitoes here, otherwise it would be a super nice place under many olive trees. Parking is only possible on the side of the road.
