Small, slightly sloping parking area at 600 meters altitude, above the village of Artena. Spectacular views of the mountains and the sea. Please note: access from the main road coming from Rome and passing through the village of Artena is via a paved road in fairly good condition but very steep (perhaps a 30% gradient). Therefore, for large or older vehicles, you should take the alternative route described below. Also note: many cows roam freely here and approach vehicles. There is a fountain/watering trough with a threaded tap and good flow, allowing you to fill up with a hose. At the top of the hill, there is a small archaeological site of no particular interest. There is a semi-abandoned building just below. Alternative route for large vehicles: Take via Casal del Mondo - via Pozzo Nuovo - via Santa Maria - via the Plaine de la Civilisation. In this order, almost any low-powered motorhome can reach the spot. The road is sometimes narrow, but there are practically no other cars.
